Pennsylvania Culinary Training Sessions for School Food Service Personnel

During the summer of 2019, Project PA will once again be offering hands-on Culinary Training Sessions for School Food Service Personnel led by a certified chef. These sessions are designed to help school nutrition professionals plan, prepare, and present attractive meals that students will enjoy. This year’s sessions will focus on specific PA-grown vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, squash, and sweet potatoes.)

Registration is free. Space at these sessions is limited. No more than two (2) individuals per sponsor may register. Additional individuals should sign up on the waiting list.

If you have attended a Project PA culinary training session in the past, please sign up on the waiting list.

Each session will be two (2) days:

  • Day 1: 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • Day 2: 8:00am – 3:45pm
 

Three (3) sessions will be offered.

Please bring the following items, labeled with your name to ensure you leave with the items you bring:

  • Chef-type knife (sharp and in good condition) with either a 8” or 10” blade, transported in a safe manner
  • A 15” x 20” poly-type cutting board (white or green)
  • Vegetable peeler
  • Apron
  • Hair restraint
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing
