"Pennsylvania Showcase Schools: Connecting Classroom, Cafeteria, and Community Nutrition Teams" This is a PDF copy of the packet provided to Project PA Master Instructors who are trained in helping new foodservice directors in a 1:1 setting. The New FSD packet provides an overview of the topic areas identified as most critical by PDE for meeting the regulations. Workbook–style exercises and informal quizzes are included to provide practice with the material. A "New Food Service Director" can be defined as one who:
- is in the first or second year in the position
- has the training needs of a first or second year director, or
- has never been director in Pennsylvania during a CRE/SMI review.
