David Lloyd is the Youth Programs Manager for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. David was the Food Service Director for the Harrisburg School District and retired after 32 years of service. While at the school district, David implemented “Breakfast in the Classroom” where every student had access to a school breakfast daily.
In addition to breakfast, David secured grants for fruit and vegetable taste testing which helped educate elementary age students what different fruits and vegetables look like as well as how they smell and taste.
At the Food Bank David is responsible for youth programs such as the BackPack program, Kid’s Café, School Pantries and the Summer Feeding program.
As a member of the Project PA Breakfast Brigade, David works as an advocate to end childhood hunger. He is also a member of Hunger Free Lancaster and The York County Alliance. These groups and others share a common goal of closing the meal gap for childhood hunger in central Pennsylvania.
