Kurt D. Myers is a 1982 graduate of Albright College and a 1997 graduate of the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. For the past 12 years, he has worked in the Reading School District's Food Service Operation, since 2004 as the Director of Food Service. Under Kurt’s leadership, his program has tripled breakfast participation in Middle Schools and doubled participation in Elementary Schools. During the summer, Kurt feeds about 2,000 students a day. His program is recognized as one of FRAC’s “High Achieving” districts. Kurt is a CEP/BIC validator with the USDA for successful program implementation, and is looking forward to helping others implement or expand school breakfast programs.
