Project Overview

The job of a school foodservice director (SFSD) is multi-faceted and complex. It requires an understanding of state and federal regulations, financial management, nutrition, record-keeping, food production, menu planning, food safety and sanitation, customer service, purchasing, and marketing, among other topics. Because of the extensive skills and knowledge required for this type of position, the Project PA mentoring program has been developed as part of a statewide system to meet the training needs of new foodservice directors in Pennsylvania.

The Project PA Mentors are:

Steve Amore | Twin Valley SD (Berks and Chester Counties)
LuAnn Fee | Armstrong SD (Armstrong County)
Jenelle Himmelreich | Eastern Lebanon County SD (Lebanon County)
Amy Keeler | Brownsville ASD (Fayette County)
Becky Kammerdeiner | Clarion SD (Clarion County)
